HAMILTON DEANE (1879 – 1958) signed 3,5″ x 5,5″ sepia 1920s portrait in blue fountain pen ink : “Sincerely Yours / Hamilton Deane “.
He is famous for bringing Bram Stker’s novel Dracula to the UK-stage in 1924. His play crossed the Atlantic in 1927 and the role of Dracula was taken by Hungarian actor Bela Lugosi. The rest is history.
